About Our Club
A Fun, Family-Friendly Club
Based in North Lakes and Burpengary on the Northside of Brisbane, Kickin'It Taekwondo is a welcoming and family-friendly club where anyone can learn the art of Taekwondo.
Our classes are open to all ages — kids, teens, and adults. In fact, Taekwondo is one of the few sports where parents can train alongside their kids. Why just watch from the sidelines when you can join in?

Our Head Instructor
Meet Bret Nicholls, the Founder and Head Instructor of our club. He's a 5th Degree ITF Black Belt, International Instructor and Coach, a Kukkiwon Black Belt — and all around a pretty cool guy.
Credentials aside, Bret is passionate about making everyone feel welcome and loves sharing his knowledge of the art.
Officially Recognised
We're proud to be an officially recognised club under the Worldwide Taekwondo Organisation, led by Grand Master Jamie Moore.
This means every student's rank is internationally recognised. Whether you move to New Zealand, Argentina, or anywhere in between, your training and rank will be respected at any Worldwide Taekwondo club.
More Than Just a Local Club
We love showing off our skills — sometimes even on the world stage! Our members have competed in and won medals at World Championships, and one of our instructors even holds a Guinness World Record.
We also regularly compete at local and national tournaments, which are fantastic opportunities to challenge yourself, meet new people, and learn new training tips.
